At least, that's how it was for me.
When my desires of farming were first forming, it looked like the natural way to start off-- A couple chickens. You know, just enough to receive a few eggs. Absolutely nothing crazy. Not like twenty-something chickens(related reading https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicken).
Oh, whoops. I think that's where we finished up, huh? Authorize me to count the methods and specify exactly WHY we got to this point.
First things first-- Simon adores his hens because they are uncomplicated. They demand the basics: Food, water, shelter-- and these might be as useful or extravagant as you opt for them to be. We used a mobile shelter, which meets all our needs-- a mesh flooring in order that droppings may befall, shelter from the elements, and uncomplicated mobility for us to relocate all over the pasture.
